Malin to Mizen Head Cycle

Our next big event is a Malin to Mizen cycle in July 2009. Tom Enright <tom DOT enright AT dbschenker DOT com> (086 - 838 4345) is the organizer and he already has 15 cyclists lined up for the event. We are looking for another 5-10 cyclists to join the group, or help/guidance from anyone that may have experience organizing anything similar. You can download the registration form here. Cycle Details

• Cycle completed over 4 days
• The cycle begins on July 16th and the stages are:
  • Malin to Sligo
  • Sligo to Kinvarra
  • Kinvarra to Tralee via Killimer ferry
  • Tralee to Mizen head via Killarney
• Trip length 385-400 miles depending on Route planned
• Accommodation provided in one location after each stage for all the cyclists (hostel or hotel)
• One cycling jersey provided for each team member
• Racer bikes only (no mountain bikes, etc)

Cycle Requirements

• Transport for cyclists from ENNIS to start and finish
• Back up vehicle available for 4 days to follow cycling group
• Cyclists clothing to be transferred from each location on route
• Water, bananas, chocolate(!) provided on each stage of the cycle
• To provide training plan for any participant requiring one
