Clare Crusaders Christmas Fair
The Christmas Fair was a huge success and a big thank you to all our organisers and supporters. We raised over €7,000 and several people have already asked if we are doing another next Christmas. Why not!!
Children’s Christmas Party & Family Fun Cycle
Another huge success. Santy was very busy and catered for 200 children. It was great to see so many kids just having a ball. Special thanks goes to Fiona Waters and the wonderful Ennis Gospel choir (appearing in Glor in January); Marcella and her fantastic dance group Funk Fusion, all our face painters who brightened up everybody's day, Micky and various Minny Mouses who entertained the kids tirelessly, Anthony Sharkey briiliant as always, and finally our brilliant SANTA. You should all take a bow! See you all next year!!
Dublin Marathon October 26th, 2009
Congratulations to the 60 brave souls who ran/walked/staggered around the streets of Dublin to complete this year's marathon for the Clare Crusaders Children's Clinic. Thanks particularly to Pat Bogue for his huge effort in getting everyone ready and motivated for the challenge. A special mention also for Gordon Flannery who, in it first year, organised 50 Kerry Crusaders to run the marathon in aid of the Nano Nagle Centre in Listowel. It was a great day and very emotional, particularly at the traditional pre-race meeting spot at Buswells, when the Clare and Kerry runners gathered to remember why they were there in the first place. Thanks Howard.
Lyons Club Charity Gigs’ n’ Reels
Congratulations to Ann Norton on winning this year's Gigs n Reels and winning €1,300 for the Clare Crusaders. A great night was had by all and Ann's hard work paid off. Thanks to everyone who supported her.
